Booking Terms & Conditions

When you make a reservation with us here at The Pierhouse you agree to the following terms and conditions on behalf of all members of your party.

What Is Included in Your Reservation

All reservations are made on a bed and breakfast basis, unless confirmed separately, eg in the cases of special packages. We will automatically make you a table reservation for dinner for each night of your stay. If you have a preferred time for dinner please let us know at the time of booking.

Deposit & Cancellation

At the time of booking we will take payment in full for your reservation. We would always recommend that you take out travel insurance at the time of booking.

Should you need to cancel your reservation we will always endeavour to transfer your reservation to alternative dates. This may result in the nightly rate changing depending on the rates that are applicable at that time.

If you are unable to amend your dates the amount that we will refund to you is dependent on how close it is to the arrival date of your original booking.

  • 7 days or more prior to arrival – a full refund less £25 administration charge
  • Less than 7 days prior to arrival – the full deposit is forfeit.

If We Change or Cancel your Reservation

Although rare there are sometimes occasions when we may need to change or cancel your reservation; even if we’ve sent you a confirmation. Should this be the case, we would of course notify you as soon as possible.

You would then have the choice to accept our changes, change to an alternative date, or you can cancel your booking. If you choose to cancel because we’ve made a change, you’ll be refunded any money you’ve paid in advance of your stay, although we won’t be liable for anything beyond that without written confirmation prior to cancelling.

Special Packages

For the reservation of special packages, for example Hogmanay, etc we will take payment in full at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable. We would always recommend that you take out travel insurance at the time of booking.
