In 2025 we are delighted to be continuing our collaboration with Lucy, The Wild Cooke with seasonal dates to make the most of every foraging opportunity available throughout the year.
Starting from The Pierhouse at 9.30am you will take a leisurely stroll exploring nature’s pantry on the way. With welcome refreshments, snacks and tasters throughout the session, expert foraging tuition, a food demonstration from our own Chef Michael, culminating in a sumptuous buffet lunch featuring a combination of foraged ingredients alongside the best of local produce from our wonderful suppliers.

Spring Tide – 27th April 2025
Taking advantage of the low spring tide, discover the secrets of the intertidal zone. This will be a wonderful introduction to foraging for seaweeds, coastal plants, seafood and other spring highlights as you investigate the beaches and shallow waters of Loch Linnhe. You will need wellies and a pair of scissors for this experience.
Summer Celebration – 13th July 2025
This is a wonderful time of the year to explore the coast and discover nature’s bounty. Taking in the coast and the hedgerows Lucy will lead you in this investigation of the saltmarsh, edible flowers and late greens.
Autumn Harvest – 28th September 2025
Search the coast and forest to make the most of nature’s bounty during the traditional harvest season. Highlights will include nuts, seeds and berries along with a focus on fungi and edible trees.
Winter Workshop – 9th November 2025
You will be surprised at what is still available from the natural larder during the winter months. This wild food wander will focus on seasonal goodies and preservation techniques.
