Gregorie Marshall, of Blackthorn Sea Salt based in Ayr, is the fifth generation of his family to be involved in the sea salt industry. Sea water in dripped through a tower of blackthorn branches whilst being evaporated by the exhilarating west coast wind to leave behind beautiful flakes of white sea salt.
