A comprehensive selection of malt whiskies
Each malt has been carefully selected to ensure we have a comprehensive range which hopefully caters for most palates, although inevitably there are so many more from which to select and scarcely a week goes by without another being added to the collection!
We hope you enjoy browsing through the list and if you feel there is a specific malt that should be added please let us know and we will do our best to obtain a bottle before your arrival. It's almost impossible to select highlights, but here are a few you might want to consider:
Oban (Argyll) 14 Years
Sweet, with a seaside aroma and fresh flowers. Pear drops & rock candy, becoming dry and smoky with a smooth, fruity finish.
Dalwhinnie (Inverness-shire) 15 Years
Flowers, vanilla and a touch of peat make this smooth flavour. Heathery aroma with a touch of pepper. Long & slightly smoky.
Johnnie Walker Green Label (Knockando) 15 Years
The fresh and distinctive flavour is uniquely different, blended from four of the finest single malts Talisker, Linkwood, Cragganmore, Caol Ila. Combined, they create a vibrant, fresh, smooth flavour that evokes the freshness of the outdoors.
Just as The Pierhouse has a special relationship with the island of Lismore, which sits a short ferry ride away opposite the hotel, so too we are pleased to be the only bar on the UK mainland to sell the Lismore malt whisky.
Sourced and bottled by William Lundie in Speyside, Lismore is produced purely for export to USA, and we are able to offer it here by permission of the distillery.
Our Lismore collection comprises aged single malts – 8, 12, 18 and 21 year olds - plus a special 21 year old called Legend, with rich and intense flavours which leave a long and enjoyable finish on the palate. Bottles and branded whisky glasses are available through the hotel shop.
